The Sunshine Coast is home to a vibrant homeschooling community filled with a rich, eclectic assortment of families, educational philosophies and activities. When I first moved to the Sunshine Coast, 6 years ago, I found it quite difficult to find and meet the local homeschoolers in my new home town. I knew they were out there, finding them proved to be tricky though, and took some time and effort. Time and effort that was well rewarded in the people I have met on the way, and some of the great activities we have been able to be a part of.
I created A Home Grown Education @ Caloundra Homeschool partially to help me meet new people, and to also be an online gateway to families either new to homeschooling or new to the Sunshine Coast.
This site is home to a slowly growing collection of links, book reviews and articles related to the journey of homeschooling.
